The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have. You don’t need to have everything figured out ahead of time—this is simply a starting point, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
-
I currently offer telehealth sessions, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Since I am licensed in Illinois, I can offer telehealth services for women living throughout the state of Illinois.
-
Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Prior to your appointment, you’ll receive a link to join your session. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. Many clients find telehealth to be a convenient and effective way to engage in therapy.
-
Sessions generally last approximately 55 minutes.
-
The length of therapy varies for each person and depends on your goals, needs, and what you’d like to focus on. Some clients come for a shorter period to work on a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper healing and ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly about how the process is feeling for you.
-
The initial intake session is $175 and sessions after that are $150 each. If you are using your insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your benefits. I’m happy to discuss fees and payment options with you so you have a clear understanding before getting started.
-
I am currently an in-network provider with BCBS-PPO, UHC, and Aetna. If I am out of network with your insurance, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
-
I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need and availability. Please feel free to reach out to discuss whether this might be an option.
-
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services. This is provided to all private pay clients, or clients who will not be using their insurance, to help you understand and plan for the financial aspect of therapy. You are welcome to request one at any time.
